Crafting
Before you can craft you will need crafting points. These represent time and effort that could have gone into improving your abilities that you have instead put into constructing items. You get crafting points by trading in IP. The Expert gets a bonus when getting crafting points. A new character may want to trade in intial point for crafting points right away so that he can craft some initial equipment, particularly scroll mages or alchemists. Craft points: 1 IP -> (monthly pay (x1.5 for levels as expert))/10 Craft points Example a 3rd level Expert(2)/Grunt(1) would get (150 + 2 * 1.5 * 600 + 1 * 300)/10 = 225 crafting points for each IP spent
Practice your trade you can work below your level to ease the DC , but your base pay will take the hit. DC = level + 18 Parts cost = upto Base Pay / 12 Crafting points = 1 Earn (per week)= (check / DC) * Parts cost * 3
Crafting Specific Item DC = Based on item complexity Parts cost = Price /3 Crafting points = Price($) /250 (round up) Time = must progress thru the Price($) Progress (per week) = (check / DC) * Base Pay / 4
Repairing existing items DC = Initial crafting - 5 Price = Original Price / 5
Repairing Armor DC = 20 Parts Cost = Orignal Price / 20 Time = 15 minutes soft or 1 hour hard DR recovered = (Roll * DR missing)/40
Taking 10 Do it. Please.
Taking 20 Price = Price x 20 Any Item with DC greater than or equal to 40 should be assumed it was crafted by someone taking 20. Thus the base price is 1/20 the sale price.

Copying existing item Get Base Price and DC from GM.
Modify existing items. Same DC as creating final Item, price is X1.5 of the difference between the costs.
Build from component items Sub components can be built or purchased premade. Assembly and integration is an item DC 5 lower than the highest component and price equal to 10% the total cost of the components.
Create new items Work with the GM to determine Base Price and DC. Truly original ideas or superscience such as a steam engine in the middle ages may require 3-10 times the base cost and a DC increase of at least 5.
